Our Story

1946 – The Dream Begins

It’s a warm, sunny day in August 1946. Bill and Helen Firth open their doors for business in a modest 15' x 12' shop on East Falls Street. With dedication, hard work, and a commitment to their community, a lasting family legacy begins.

1952 – Growing with Niagara Falls

In just six and a half years, Firth Jewelers outgrows its original space. On December 6, 1952, Bill and Helen celebrate the grand opening of a new, modern location at the corner of East Falls & 15th Street, expanding their inventory to serve the growing needs of their customers.

1973 – The Next Generation

Founder Bill Firth passes the torch to his son, John—a certified master watchmaker. Bringing fresh vision and expertise, John moves Firth Jewelers to the Military Road Business District in 1973, broadening the store's selection of fine jewelry and timepieces.

Golden Age

1990 – A New Home on Military Road

In November 1990, Firth Jewelers celebrates its fourth grand opening at its present location: 2435 Military Road. Featuring a spacious showroom, convenient parking, and an expanded collection of fine jewelry and diamonds, the store cements its place as a trusted local destination.

2026 – Celebrating 80 Years of Tradition & Innovation

Eight decades after opening that small storefront, Firth Jewelers is proud to celebrate 80 years of continuous family service. Today, the third generation—led by Michael Firth—alongside a dedicated team of experts, continues the founding mission: offering exceptional quality, custom design, fine craftsmanship, and unmatched customer care. Through eight decades of milestone moments, engagements, and family celebrations, we remain deeply honored to be your trusted neighborhood jeweler.
